Last mile delivery eats your margin
High stop counts, tight time windows, and urban congestion make the final leg the costliest part of the supply chain. Manual routing makes it worse.
Time-Window Pressure
Same-day and next-day promises come with delivery windows. Miss them and you pay for redelivery, customer complaints, and lost trust.
Urban Density
Apartment buildings, gated communities, and one-way streets turn a simple stop list into a logistical maze. Wrong sequencing means circling blocks repeatedly.
Cost Per Delivery
Fuel, driver hours, and vehicle wear compound with every unnecessary mile. Unoptimized routes can double your cost per drop compared to what is achievable.
Fleet Underutilization
Some drivers finish early while others run overtime. Without intelligent stop assignment, your fleet is either oversized or overworked.
Built for last mile delivery operations
Import your parcel manifest, set time windows, and let Drivant build routes that maximize deliveries per driver while hitting every commitment.
Import Parcel Manifests
Drop in Excel or CSV exports from your WMS, TMS, or e-commerce platform. Drivant auto-detects delivery addresses, order numbers, time windows, and priority levels. No reformatting needed.
Optimize with Time Windows
Set delivery windows per stop to match your customer commitments. The route optimizer sequences hundreds of stops to hit every window while minimizing total drive time across your fleet.
Auto-Assign to Drivers
The Route Builder clusters stops geographically and assigns them to vehicles automatically. It balances workloads so every driver carries a full, efficient route without overloading anyone. Teams doing residential furniture drops can also see our home delivery routing page for that workflow.
Export Driver Route Sheets
Generate sequenced stop lists with addresses, ETAs, and delivery notes. Export to Excel, CSV, or GPX for GPS navigation. Each driver gets exactly what they need to start delivering immediately.
One platform, every last mile scenario
Whether you deliver parcels, groceries, or same-day orders, Drivant handles the routing.
E-Commerce Fulfillment
Turn daily order batches into optimized multi-driver routes. Handle hundreds of residential drops with tight delivery promises.
Same-Day Delivery
Build routes on the fly as orders come in. Re-optimize mid-day to slot in new stops without disrupting existing commitments.
Fleet Route Planning
Split large manifests across your fleet automatically. Balance stop counts, distances, and time windows so every vehicle is fully utilized.
Proof of Delivery
Export structured delivery records with stop sequences, projected times, and customer details for auditing and compliance reporting. Food and grocery delivery teams should also review our food and beverage delivery guide for temperature-sensitive route requirements.
A typical day with Drivant
It is 5:00 AM at the fulfillment center. Your route planner imports 480 parcels from last night's order cutoff into Drivant. She filters by delivery zone and the Route Builder clusters stops into 12 driver routes by geography. Forty-two packages have 2-hour same-day delivery windows, so those get hard time constraints. She clicks "Build Routes" and the optimizer sequences each driver's 40 stops to minimize total miles while hitting every time window. One route in the downtown core shows 52 stops, so she splits it into two routes and the optimizer rebalances both in seconds. By 5:30 AM, 12 route sheets are printed with stop sequences, apartment building access codes, and projected ETAs. Drivers load their vans by route and pull out by 6:00 AM. By 2:00 PM, 460 of 480 parcels are delivered. The remaining 20 are on two suburban routes that finish by 4:00 PM. When mid-day orders come in at 11:00 AM, she creates a second wave project, imports the new batch, and dispatches three afternoon drivers with fresh routes by noon.
The numbers that matter
